Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient

Healing from an addiction or mental health concern is a unique experience that requires determination and patience. While some people may need round-the-clock care, others can benefit from a lower level of care.

Seven Hills Hospital, located in Henderson, Nevada, offers an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with chemical dependency (or addiction), mental health concerns, or a dual diagnosis.

What We Treat

The intensive outpatient program at our treatment center offers comprehensive care for adults of all genders who are struggling with addictions to substances such as alcohol, cocaine, and opioids. Our IOP also treats adults who are suffering from symptoms of co-occurring mental health disorders, including anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). As mental health disorders often occur together, clients can get the proper treatment for co-occurring concerns to ensure that all their needs are met.

Our IOP is designed for individuals who do not require an inpatient level of care but may benefit from a structured treatment setting that offers more intensive therapy compared with traditional outpatient services. The admissions department at Seven Hills Hospital provides assessments to determine whether potential clients are eligible to receive this level of care.

Comprehensive Programming

Among the services that you can receive while in our adult intensive outpatient program, the following are those that may be part of your personalized treatment plan:

Individual insight-oriented and supportive psychotherapy: While at our Las Vegas area hospital, you may receive individual insight-oriented and supportive psychotherapy so that you can develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your illness and/or addiction.

Additionally, our adult intensive outpatient program offers many group therapy opportunities. Aside from cognitive behavioral group therapy sessions and interpersonal group therapy sessions, you may attend groups that cover the following topics:

  • Stress management
  • Relaxation training

At Seven Hills Hospital, we customize a treatment plan for each client that addresses their unique needs. During the admissions process, our staff reviews their medical history, treatment history, and recovery goals. We then determine if our chemical dependency IOP is right for them and choose which services to include in their care plan.

Clients who are enrolled in our chemical dependency IOP can expect to meet from 6-9 p.m. three times a week, Monday-Thursday. The typical length of stay in this level of care is between three and eight weeks.

While in our IOP, clients can participate in group therapy and attend AA and NA meetings. They may also have the opportunity to engage in a number of different therapies, including:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Dialectical behavior therapy
  • Rational emotive behavior therapy
  • SMART Recovery
  • Motivational interviewing

Clients can also receive medication education and take part in programming that is centered on the Matrix Model.

Aftercare & Discharge Planning

Taking part in the intensive outpatient program at Seven Hills Hospital is an important step in the recovery process. But your healing journey doesn’t stop when you transition out of our care. We will provide you with a detailed discharge plan to help you achieve lasting recovery.

We will start your discharge and aftercare planning as soon as you begin treatment in our IOP. This will give our staff a better understanding of what resources, support networks, and continuing care options may be the most beneficial to you upon your completion of the program. Your care team will also include additional areas of focus and referrals for necessary follow-up care if you need further assistance following treatment.

Living with an addiction or co-occurring concerns can be overwhelming. But with the compassionate, comprehensive support of the team at Seven Hills Hospital, you can rediscover a healthier way of living.
