Types of Treatment Available

Types of Treatment Offered at Seven Hills Hospital

When looking for prescription drug addiction treatment, you or your loved one may have been searching broadly for “rehab centers near me?” In the Las Vegas area, there is one clear choice. At Seven Hills Hospital, we provide free, confidential assessments 24/7. After completing an assessment at our Las Vegas, Nevada center, our psychiatrists will review it to ensure that we can provide you with the most appropriate care. Once you are admitted into our hospital, we will create an individualized treatment plan that details the services required to help you become well again.

Our center features many specialized programs for people of all ages. We have a child and adolescent unit designed for youth between the ages of 5 and 17. Our adult programs include separate mental health and substance abuse units. Additionally, our center features a distinct geriatric unit for senior adults. Each of these units caters to the specific needs of each population. While you are receiving care in one of these units, you may receive the following types of treatment:

Detoxification: When you come to our rehab clinic dependent on a prescription drug, you may receive detox services at the start of your care. Detox clears prescription drugs from your system, and gives you time to heal from your substance abuse. While in our detox treatment program, you will be provided with 24-hour monitoring by our medical staff.

Medication management: Within 24 hours of admission, our internal medicine doctor will meet with you to assess for any existing medical concerns. Additionally, one of our psychiatrists will meet with you to determine if you require medication to manage any mental illness symptoms. If you are prescribed medication, you will meet with a psychiatrist each day. During these meetings, our psychiatrist will monitor the effectiveness of your medication can make changes when necessary.

Individual therapy: Individual therapy sessions are held on an as-needed basis. During these sessions, you will meet with a therapist to process your feelings, emotions, and experiences with addiction. You can also learn how to regulate your emotions, tolerate stress, identify your triggers for abusing prescription drugs, and develop skills for preventing relapse.

Family therapy: Family therapy sessions occur as-needed for our adult patients. Our adolescent patients, however, have family therapy sessions at least once per week. These sessions allow you and your family members to learn about prescription drug addiction, recovery, and ways to support one another. Family visitation is also available at our hospital. Geriatric and adolescent patients can visit with their loved ones seven days a week, and all other patients can see visitors five days a week.

Group therapy: Group therapy is the main treatment method used in our programs. During your time at Seven Hills, you will participate in at least two or three groups each day, which may cover the following topics:

Continuing Care and Levels of Treatment

If you are ready to return home, we will provide you with referrals for outpatient services or other community resources. In addition to our inpatient programs, our Las Vegas, NV rehab clinic also offers outpatient treatment. These services include partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs). Our PHPs and IOPs are designed for adults and offer two separate tracks. One track is for mental health treatment and the other is for substance abuse treatment. Both tracks provide group therapy, weekly meetings with a psychiatrist, and as-needed individual therapy sessions. These tracks also supply recreational therapy twice a week.
