Mark Mapa joined Seven Hills Hospital in 2015 as the Patient Advocate where he discovered his passion for patient rights and patient safety. He quickly emerged as a leader among peers due to his attention to detail and ability to collect and analyze data, disseminate findings among team members, and plan improvements. He personally spearheaded patient safety efforts earning the Bronze Certification for Acadia’s prestigious Safety Certification Program after just a few months on the job. After revamping the Patient Advocacy program at Seven Hills Hospital, he was promoted to Performance Improvement and Risk Management Coordinator in late 2015. Mark earned his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology after graduating from Nevada State College in 2015. Mark served six years in the Nevada Army National Guard.
