Staff Psychiatrist
REPORTS TO: CEO
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform medication evaluations and medication management services for client population over the age of 9 years old. Clients will be scheduled every 15 minutes for medication management appointments, 30 minutes for adult medication evaluations, and 45 minutes for child/adolescent evaluations.
- Complete charting as indicated, including but not limited to, contact logs, progress notes, evaluation notes, discharge notes, and script writing.
- When assigned by Seven Hills Behavioral Institute’s Chief Executive Officer or administrative designee, perform weekend rounds, including admission evaluations, discharge planning, and daily consultations.
- Attend and participate in quarterly Medical Staffing meetings.
- Collaborate with treating therapist as well as Medical Director when needed.
- Promptly return all telephone calls to clients with medication issues or questions.
- Provide administrative oversight and supervision of assigned nurse practitioners, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals employed by or contracted with Seven Hills Behavioral Institute.
- Assist in developing and implementing Seven Hills Behavioral Institute clinical programs.
- Demonstrate a warm, humane, compassionate attitude toward patients, their families, visitors, customers, and employees of Seven Hills Behavioral Institute
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine degree with a license to practice psychiatry in the state of Nevada.
- Board certification or board eligibility in the field of psychiatry.
