Psychiatric Stabilization
Seven Hills Behavioral Institute offers compassionate, medically supervised and assisted stabilization for adults and adolescents in the midst of an acute psychiatric episode. The goal of this short-term, intensive treatment is to restore the individual’s immediate safety and sense of well-being. Once this has been achieved, the healing process can begin.
As with every service Seven Hills offers, psychiatric stabilization begins with an assessment of the patient’s history, current symptoms and the possible involvement of any medications or underlying medical conditions. Consideration is always given to the unique mental, emotional and physical needs of each individual. Once an appropriate treatment plan is developed by our board certified psychiatrists, the patient is stabilized in a safe, intensely therapeutic environment. Treatment may continue in our facility, or in an outpatient setting, after the goals of stabilization have been achieved.
Psychiatric stabilization is often necessary when an individual is exhibiting severely impaired judgment or is having suicidal thoughts or thoughts of harming someone else. If you feel that you or a loved one is in crisis, please call us immediately at (702) 646-5000 or toll-free at (877) 774-4557 for a free, confidential assessment or see our Triage and Crisis Intervention page for information on our 24-Hour Rapid Mobile Response Team.
