ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the provision of therapeutic activities.
• Assesses patient’s current level of leisure functioning, leisure interests, strengths, and resources.
• Establishes and executes individual treatment plans. Must be able to provide age specific care and intervention for adult and geriatric populations.
  Provides written documentation in the patient chart of patient’s level of participation and patient’s perceptions of activity and progress toward meeting treatment goals.
• Designs and posts activities schedule on unit, including routinely scheduled activities, special events, special interests and individual programming.
• Participates in hospital performance improvement activities.
• Follows professional guidelines with respect to quality patient care, patient’s rights, and hospital confidentiality standards.
• Employee will be required to perform other job related duties as assigned by their supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Recreation Therapy.
2. Must be a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist with NCTRC.
